What is the recommended padlock for my KNAACK® jobsite boxes?
KNAACK® recommends Master Lock #5 or American Lock #50 due to the shackle length and that the U-Bold and Lock Mechanism are developed specifically for that lock.
Can I paint my tool box?
KNAACK® storage boxes are finished with an electrostatically applied polyester powder finish that recognized for appearance, abrasion and rust resistance. The following procedure will allow you to be able to custom paint your box and retain the qualities of the original finish while ensuring excellent adhesion of the new paint.
- Sand the surface to be painted with fine grit sand paper. This will rough up the smooth surface.
- Wipe down the surface with a ketone based thinner. This will remove the dust and soften the powder coating to allow for proper adhesion.
- Paint over the powder coating with the new color. Note, DO NOT use a lacquer over the powder coating.
Are KNAACK® storage boxes fireproof?
KNAACK® boxes are not fire rated.
What is the weight capacity of KNAACK® boxes?
If using casters, the weight capacity is that of the casters minus the weight of the box.
Can I register my product and key code?
Yes. KNAACK® recommends registering all your key codes in order to keep them secure and prevent the expense of replacing a lock due to lost keys. Simply navigate to the registration page and then enter your product details, including the key code if desired, to register your KNAACK® product.
I have lost my keys, how can I get into my KNAACK® box?
Contact the lock manufacturer or a Locksmith to find out if additional keys can be purchased. If no key can be purchased there is no way to enter the box without damaging and voiding all manufacturers warranties.
Can I order KNAACK® Products directly?
No. KNAACK® products are only available through fine industrial, contractor and truck equipment supply houses located throughout the U.S. and Canada. We also have distribution in Europe and Australia.
Are replacement parts available for KNAACK® products?
