Where exactly does the model 497 crane lift bracket mount to on a box?

I have a 4824 job master box and have to pick it up fully loaded all the time. I am interested in the lift bracket but was wondering where exactly they mounted to on the box. The space I set the box in is limited
Asked by: Caleb
You mount the brackets on the ends of the unit, as close to the outside corners and as high up as possible.

What is the safety factor?

The 497 has a maximum load of 2500LBS but what is the design safety factor? What is the break load? I have a customer that wants his boxes load tested. Typically we test units to 2 or 2.5 times the working load limit. I need to know if these will break under that load before I can load test them.
Asked by: Richard
The published certification on the 497 crane lift accessory states that the 497 life brackets are capable of holding up to 2500lbs as a static load. We have preformed testing that included static as well as computer-aided finite element analysis studies to prove this to be true.
